EB-5 regional center investing in New Orleans
New Orleans has come a long way in recovering from Hurricane Katrina, but it still has work to do and an EB-5 regional center is looking to help improve the city.
NobleOutReach is hoping to launch new businesses and rebuild old ones in New Orleans with the help of foreign nationals who participate in the EB-5 visa program.
The EB-5 visa program presents a unique way for one to become eligible for their U.S. green card. By investing $1 million in an American business foreign nationals can become eligible for their green card if that investment leads to the creation or preservation of 10 jobs.
Shortly after the government came up with the EB-5 visa program, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigarion Services) created a regional center program to help direct and manage investments. These centers can be private entrepreneurs, corporations or government agencies that take investments from foreigners and use them to help the investors meet the requirements of the EB-5 visa.
NobleOutReach is one such regional center that is focusing on redeveloping the Gulf Coast area. They are looking to accomplish this by using, as their website puts it, “capital investments in for-profit businesses designed to bring strong financial returns to the investors.”
