Many EB-5 regional centers involved in hospitality industryOne of the best sectors of the economy in which to invest is the hospitality industry because even if people are taking fewer vacations, business travelers will always need a place to stay. Fortunately for investors in the EB-5 visa program, there are many ways to get involved in the hotel business.

There are 26 EB-5 regional centers that list hospitality as one of the industries they focus on, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service website. This means that more than a quarter of all EB-5 regional centers are involved with hotels and other such ventures.

The EB-5 visa program gives foreign nationals a chance to become eligible for a U.S. visa. If one invests $1 million in an American business and that investment leads to the creation or preservation of 10 jobs, they become green card eligible. EB-5 regional centers were created to help direct and manage these investments.

Some EB-5 regional centers are designated as Targeted Employment Areas, which are distinguished by having an unemployment rate higher than the national average, and only $500,000 need be invested in these centers.

As long as people have to travel, they will need places to stay, making investing in the hospitality industry a potentially wise decision.
