Plenty of EB-5 investment opportunities in Washington, D.C.
There are many EB-5 investment opportunities all over the country, but foreign nationals may want to invest right where the EB-5 visa program was created, Washington, D.C.
According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), there are three EB-5 regional centers in America’s capitol, presenting a number of intriguing investment opportunities.
All three of these EB-5 regional centers, Anacostia Regional Center, Capital Area Regional Center and DC Regional center, focus on industries that have become staples of the EB-5 visa program like retail space, real estate development, hospitality and office space.
In addition, the Capital Area Regional Center lists the building of a soccer stadium as one of its focuses.
The EB-5 visa program was created in 1990 to improve U.S. businesses’ access to foreign capital by offering green card eligibility to investors. If a foreign national invests $1 million (or in some areas, $500,000) and that investment leads to the creation or preservation of 10 jobs, the investor becomes eligible for his or her U.S. green card.
