Is There an EB-5 Bubble in China?

While the Chinese currently make up the majority of EB-5 investors, are we on the verge of an EB-5 bubble in China?  Many EB-5 projects erroneously believe that China is the only place to secure investors, which is absolutely not the case.  Marketing a project in China can be double the cost of marketing in other countries where demand for a United States Green Card is just as hot.   It seems that the adage, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” does not apply to China, where EB-5 projects are tripping over each other to secure clients. A recent seminar focusing on marketing EB-5 projects in China attracted over 100 attendees. Project developers waited in line to meet Chinese immigration brokers who are hailed as celebrities.   Elementary rules of supply and demand have driven up the price of marketing EB-5 in China to the point where it may not be feasible for many projects.  Additionally, it has been rumored that the Chinese government could shut down the EB-5 program in China with the stroke of a pen if a project does not deliver its promises to the Chinese investors.   We have seen the Chinese government shut down Facebook and Twitter, and most recently the Chinese government silenced the media when they began to point fingers at the Chinese government for responsibility in the recent train crash in Wenzhou.

In the last month Exclusive Visas has assisted individuals from India, Russia, Norway, Spain, Israel, Mexico,  Australia, Venezuela, Iran, Taiwan, and of course China with their EB-5 objectives.  Demand for EB-5 is very strong in many countries, and Exclusive Visas has assisted our clients to secure investors from around the world.  To learn more about the global EB-5 marketplace and upcoming EB-5 events in Mexico, Russia, and Brazil, contact Exclusive Visas at (954) 727-9800  or via email info@exclusivevisas.com and speak to Fred Burgess or Joe Sloboda.
