By Renata Castro
USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) has recently released an update on the processing times for I-526 petitions.
In the past, USCIS took an average of 6 to 9 months in processing those petitions, but lately it has been taking much longer.
The latest update provided by USCIS shows a current processing time of approximately 16 months. Petitions submitted on March 16, 2012 were being reviewed as of July 31, 2013.
Individuals interested in EB-5 from all over the world have been anticipating their decision to become US residents through EB-5, as the process has been taking longer than before.
