How long does it take to get an EB-5 Visa?

This is one of the most common questions asked by our EB-5 clients; it is an important question for them since some of these foreign investors will need to take care of some of their personal issues in their home country prior to moving to the United States.

It can take approximately six to nine months from the date the application is submitted to receive an approval from the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS).

Prior to submitting your application you will need to do your due diligence and gather information on the Regional Center(s) that interest you, which can take about three to four months to make a final decision. Once you have decided which Regional Center to invest in, you will then need to gather all of the documentation needed to submit your application to the USCIS and this stage may take about one to two months as well.

Once the above is completed and the U.S. consular approves you, then it will only take about a few weeks to receive you conditional Green Card.

These timelines can vary greatly depending upon your specific situation and they can also drag on for a particularly long time if you are attempting to navigate these waters without proper guidance.  Most foreign investors hire an experienced EB-5 consulting company to assist them in this process.

Contact Fred Burgess of Joe Sloboda from Exclusive Visas to find out how we can assist you in your quest for permanent residency in the United States and eliminate much of the frustration that can come along with attempting this process on your own. Most of our clients have been able to submit their application within weeks of their initial consultation.
