Ying Lu, Immigration Attorney

Elissa Lu, Esq. is the managing attorney of the Law Office of Lu & Associates, PLLC. Prior to forming her own firm, Ms. Lu worked with two reputable international law firms in the U.S. and China. She actively participated in many multi-million-dollar merges and acquisitions, joint venture projects, international contract disputes and intellectual property disputes. She assisted clients with a wide variety of matters arising out of their China ventures. Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, she was also involved in due diligence reviews and international contract analysis.

As an immigrant herself, Ms. Lu knows firsthand the complexity endured by individuals， families and businesses when dealing with immigration issues. Some of the main areas of her immigration legal practice include Alien of Extraordinary Ability (EB-1A), Outstanding Professors or Researchers (EB-1B), National Interest Waiver (NIW) and investment immigration (EB-5). She has also successfully assisted many clients with tough Request for Additional Evidence (RFE) and applications of nonimmigrant visas such as H-1B visa, L-1 visa, fiancé/fiancée visa (K-1) and spouse of US citizens visa (K-3).

Ms. Lu received her first law degree from Fudan University, a top-notch university in China. Subsequently, she was awarded the International Program Scholarship by the College of Law of the University of Iowa, and completed her LL.M. program there.

Ms. Lu is a licensed attorney in the State of New York. She is also authorized to practice law in China.
